Welcome to Ragstones - Cornish Bed & Breakfast - Par, St. Austell, Cornwall.
Conveniently situated to explore Cornwall, Ragstones Cornish Bed and Breakfast is tucked away in the tiny hamlet of Kilhallon on the outskirts of Par. Formerly a miner's cottage built around the 1890s, Ragstones has been extended and renovated to a high standard and offers two comfortable en suite rooms.
The house stands in three quarters of an acre of landscaped garden with seating in various areas to take advantage of the views and wonderful peace and quiet.
We are ideally situated as a base to explore the many picturesque sights of Cornwall. The world famous Eden Project is a five minute drive away. Fowey, once the home of writer Daphne du Maurier, is a short fifteen minute drive away having not only the former home of Ms Du Maurier, but beautiful walks, and the remains of the Polruan blockhouses built around 1380 to protect Fowey harbour.
Charlestown, where many tall ships are harboured, is well worth a visit, as is Mevagissey, Looe and Polperro.
There are many footpaths for walkers to enjoy, with the Saints Ways and Luxuylan Valley being the most local and popular. We even have Ordnance Survey maps of the local area for loan.
Par Beach, is a few minutes away by car, with ample parking facilities. A long stretch of sand, the beach is ideal for water sports and dogs are welcome all year round.
Dog lovers are welcome to bring dogs to the house, we have a large garden and secure area. Dogs will of course need to be supervised at all times.
