A new type of internet fraud has recently been discovered, whereby advertisements are placed for fictitious accommodation on accommodation portals and directories, and people wishing to book the accommodation are persuaded to send a Western Union Money Transfer (effectively cash) to a recipient who then subsequently disappears.
