Medieval Warwick & Stratford upon Avon in Warwickshire

By Seb White - 26th of January 2007

Living on the South West Coast of Devon, I spend some holidays inland. It's not that I don't appreciate the coast; I have roots in the West Midlands - mainly around the county of Warwickshire.

There are many places to visit in Warwickshire. Here are just a few suggestions:In the town of Warwick - Medieval Warwick Castle - a bit expensive to get into the place if I remember, but well worth a visit.

Kenilworth Castle is a fasinating place. The half ruined Castle stands amongst pastures, parks and the near by town of Kenilworth.Stratford upon Avon is a real mecca for culture for people worldwide. Being the birth place of William Shakespeare, it boasts some amasing tutor buildings, a great theatre house and a tranquil boating river - of course you can hire all sorts of boats.

If you'd like to stay in Warwickshire, you'll find all sorts of holiday accommodations, such as cottages, Bed and Breakfasts, Guest houses, Hotels, Camping and Caravanning sites and Youth Hostels.
