Leadstone Camping in Dawlish, South Devon
By Peter & Margaret White - 26th of January 2007
Last August, my wife and I spent a fortnight in South Devon on a camping and caravanning park called Leadstone Camping.
The campsite was great; nice and peaceful, plenty of space, friendly staff and not at all commercial. The facilities were well maintained and all spotless.
Leadstone Camping is situated just outside of Dawlish Warren. There are plenty of excellent country walks and the beach is only about 10 minutes stroll away.
Dawlish Warren has a large nature reserve featuring one of the best sand dunes I have ever seen. The beach is always clean and you can be walking out there are rarely meet another person.
A little down the road in the their is a great cafe and a full shops as well as a pub.
Further down the road (about 2 miles) is Dawlish Town.
Centred around a lovely park with a stream running through it, the town has many things to see including an asortment of duck and black swans as well as gardens, bowling green and of course, shops.
All in all, we will be visiting Leadstone Camping again. We both had a great time.
