Great holiday in Norfolk

By J Middleton - Added 26th of January 2007

Has anyone been to Norfolk? I didn't like the sound of it before I went. Flat, featureless countryside, cold tacky beaches. Definately not my prefered choice for a holiday location. I must say, my pre-conceptions couldn't have been further from the truth! I recently stopped in a village called East Rudham, 5 miles east of Fakenham. A truely lovely place. With winding country lanes, amasing flint pebble built cottages everywhere, it was like stepping back in time to when this country was very much unspoilt by road building, new housing estate developments, shopping arenas and commercialisation of holiday spots. Simple and peaceful. In fact, I found that all of the Norfolk that I saw look pretty much like this. I wasn't too keen on the Norfolk Broads though. I will be going back very soon. Places to see Wells-next-the-sea - lovely beach. Hunstanton Sheringham All the best, J Middleton
