Fabulous food at the Woolpack in Beckington, Somerset.
By Bella - 26th of January 2007
Some friends and I recently visited a pub I wish I had been to sooner. The Woolpack in Beckington, near Frome, was great from the minute we stepped over the threshold.
The place had a good atmosphere with a menu that should suit all tastes. It was only after we had eaten I found out The Woolpack has an AA rosette, and well-deserved it is too!
I had a goats cheese tart with salad, beautifully presented and it actually tasted as good as it looked. Fantastic.
The main course was as close to abrosia as I think possible. I even broke a golden rule and had pudding (after a starter) it was so good. Even the coffee came with fudge pieces to round off a wonderful evening.
I would recommend it to everyone.
