East and West Rudham near Fakenham in Norfolk

We recently spent a long weekend at a friends private holiday cottage in East Rudham, Near Fakenham in Norfolk.

It was lovely. This part of Norfolk is so unspoilt and non-commercialised - with lush winding country lanes, flint-covered cottages and barns dotted here and there, it is like going back in time to when we the Enland was very much more a green and pleasant land.

We paid a visit to Holkham Bay - a beautiful little spot with pale golden sands - a real jewell of the north Norfolk coast.
