By B. Hewison - Added 27th of November 2008Alnwick District in Northumberland what better place to visit for a superb holiday. The Alnwick District covers a very diverse area of Northumberland. From the south west, the hills and dales of Rothbury & Coquetdale, Whittingham Vale, The Cheviots (part of) and north to the Historic Town of Alnwick with the famous Alnwick Castle and now the Alnwick Garden, both of which are well worth a visit.
Other attractions in the area are Warkworth Castle which is English Heritage and Cragside House which is National Trust, a fantastic house with the appearance of a romantic German Castle standing high on a hill over a deep tree lined gorge. Of course this isn't the definitive list of attractions for this wonderful area, you might like to check out the local website for the district www.visitalnwick.org.uk which is teeming full of information to help you enjoy this wonderful area.
