A warm lakeland welcome at Lyndhurst Country House

By Angela - 26th of January 2007

This is the first time I have recommended anywhere at all, but we always feel very welcome when we stay at the Lyndhurst Country House. Please follow link below for their website.

The very first time we went to the Lakes we stayed here and Christine and Les gave us so much information about walks and places to visit, they even supplied us with their own walking books.

When we arrived from our long journey (from the Midlands) we were welcomed with a pot of tea and homemade cake.

The rooms are lovely and are serviced throughout the day and the beds are very comfortable.

Breakfasts are your own choice, they will cater your personal requirements.

If you are going out walking then Christine and Les will provide a packed lunch and flask for you (at cost), which is just another nicety.

An evening meal is provided, but you need to book the evening before - we have never had an evening meal here - since we wanted to go out at night.

I cannot rate this guesthouse highly enough.

If anyone takes up this recommendation, I am sure you will not be disappointed.
